Day One Hundred and Fifty.
Dear Ben,
6 years ago you made us parents. What a transformation it is to think of someone else so completely. I have loved being your Mother from the moment I knew of your existence. You have not disappointed. We are so very proud of you. I love having you as my son.
At six years old you are very independent. You are so smart and so sweet. You love to cuddle and hold hands. I know these days may be coming to an end and so I cherish the moments when you climb into my lap and rest your head on my chest. You are a bit heavier, your arms and legs are longer but the weight of you there still feels just right. Just as it did the first time I held you.
Your favorite things to do are play lego, ride your scooter, play video games, especially Mindcraft and read. You are a very good reader. You love super hero's running and chasing games and kinder egg surprises.
You desperately want to loose a tooth! I have a feeling this is the year.
Just when I think you are growing up too fast I will see you playing with some 8 or 9 year old children at the playground and realize that you are still a little guy. At home though when you are biggest and the oldest, you are very responsible. You are a good helper and a sweet brother.
You love your grandparents. They have a special place in your life and I am so grateful for this.
You ask good questions. You think a lot and are a goo problem solver. You make Daddy and I laugh a lot.
You have outgrown your size five clothes and as I was shopping for some new fall pants for you, they looked so ....long! One of these days I am going to be looking up to you!
I am excited to see who you are growing into. You have a great personality, an easy going and quick to smile disposition, you make friends easily and you are a joy to be around.
I love every moment of being your Mother and every inch of you!
Happy Birthday sweet boy.
Love Mommy.
